Success Stories

Clay’s Story

When Clay started at Turning Pointe, his self injury put his entire family’s life on pause. Afraid to leave the house and unable to keep him safe, his parents considered Turning Pointe their last hope.  In just a few weeks, the highly supportive environment at Turning Pointe helped Clay make strides his Mom and Dad never dreamed were possible. As hard as staff worked on interventions, trials and assessments, no one worked harder than Clay! From a diminished rate of self injury to acquiring new language skills, Clay began connecting to his parents and siblings. Within the year, he began to read adapted books. He continues to learn and grow every day at school!

Michael’s Story

When Michael began in the Career College, he had hoped to leave with a job. Any job. Instead, Michael’s journey lead him to a truly unique opportunity with the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office.
