It’s hard to believe it has been one full year since the COVID-19 Pandemic threw the world into a tailspin and changed everyday life as we know it.

While it’s forced each one of us to adapt to a new way of living, that way of living has, and continues to be, extremely challenging for our friends and families living with autism.
Throughout this unprecedented year, the staff at Turning Pointe have gone above and beyond all expectations to give our students and families the extra support they’ve so desperately needed.

They’ve continuously thought outside the box and re-imagined new ways of bringing our kids and adults back into our community; from moving classrooms outside when weather permitted, to alternating staff and student’s attendance to reduce the risk of contracting the virus. It has been no small undertaking and has required 110% on a daily basis from our extensive and experienced team of providers.

While teachers, support staff and so many others have been absolute rock stars throughout, it would be remiss not to recognize the vast and tireless efforts of our Executive Director and fearless leader, Carrie Provenzale. Carrie started with Turning Pointe many years ago as an Executive Board Member where she gave so generously of her time and talents. Carrie immediately embraced Turning Pointe’s mission and sincerely and whole heartedly devoted herself to our students and families. When the Executive Director position became open, we could think of no better person to lead and expand our mission to bring comprehensive and cutting-edge services to our autism community.
