Someone asked me recently who was or is my biggest inspiration? Honestly, I don’t know. I have so many positive influences in my life. I think I’ll pick the first 2 people in my SUPER long list. My first influence is my Mom. I know everyone says that, but it’s true. My Mom is a superwoman. Always has been. Whether it was shuttling my siblings & I around to doctor’s appointments play-dates, you name it, grocery shopping, to dealing with normal everyday household problems. She would do it all with no whining, no complaining, & she did all this with grace. I knew that as a child, I caused problems & often didn’t have a solution. She was there for it all. I gave her a hard time & she still loves me unconditionally. I will try as hard as I can to make it up to her. Even if it takes the rest of my life. My other influence is probably my baby brother. I know, a little strange, he really is though. First things first, my brother is super smart. He just graduated from DePaul University. He majored in accounting (taking after my Dad). He was on the Dean’s list all 4 years of college. That’s pretty rad. On top of all this, my brother is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. He gets me more than anyone else. We can talk about pretty much anything. He’s the best. He will give you the shirt off his back. He is so sweet & really deserving of all the praise he’s received. The lessons I’ve learned from both my mom & my brother are that life is precious & and yes you SHOULD work hard, but that doesn’t mean you can’t do with grace & wit. Both of these positive influences live within my home & I’m so glad that they do.
