Mother’s Day just passed. Another holiday is on the horizon. What could it be? It’s a day that Fathers can look forward to being celebrated all day long. Give up? It’s Father’s Day. Father’s Day was June 18th. We went to my aunt’s and celebrated with my grandparents, my other aunt & uncle & cousins. It was very nice. The Saturday before is usually The Romanellli Family Golf Outing. It’s a family tradition that’s been happening for the past 40 years. My Dad & brother usually get up at 6 A.M.; they get to the course by 7:30. Then they tee off anywhere from 10 A.M. to noon. The rest of the family will meet at a designated person’s house & we will wait for all the golfers to return. From then on, it’s all about the food, the family & the golf winners’ announcement. Needless to say, they are exhausted. My Dad usually sleeps until 10 or a little later because it’s Father’s Day. We celebrated Dad & all that my dad is. There is a lot to celebrate; he’s the breadwinner, disciplinarian, and resident tough guy. He’s my Dad & he deserves to be celebrated every day.
