Service Saturday

Service Saturday Volunteers meet one Saturday a month

from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm to work on a various projects that help to provide more resources to our families and community. Each month the project changes, volunteer solo or with a group. Volunteers 14 and older must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to volunteer. Volunteers 13 and younger must volunteer with a parent or guardian and need to contact the Volunteer Manager in advance. If you need any accommodations (sitting tasks, minimal lifting, etc., please contact Volunteer Manager in advance)

Saturday Dates

June 12th: Volunteers will be working on socially distanced indoor and outdoor volunteer projects

July 17th: Volunteers will be working on socially distanced indoor and outdoor volunteer projects

August 14th: Volunteers will be working on socially distanced indoor and outdoor volunteer projects

 

 

Some Projects are subject to change and weather dependent.

Vegetable Garden Volunteers

help us care for our garden! Volunteer an hour a week to help weed, prune, harvest, and care for our garden. Dates and times flexible. Anytime M-F, 8 am-4 pm

Group Volunteer opportunities

We love group volunteer days! We have hosted Corporate Groups, Cultural Groups, School Groups, and more! If you have a group that is interested in sharing their time and talents contact our  Volunteer Manager at sgroth@turningpointeaf.org to set up a project, date and time!

Special Event Volunteers

Special event volunteers participate in one day events onsite and offsite that help to bring awareness and resources to our students. Volunteers 14 and older must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to volunteer. Volunteers 13 and younger must volunteer with a parent or guardian and need to contact the Volunteer Manager in advance to ensure we have age appropriate tasks. If you need any accommodations (sitting tasks, minimal lifting, etc., please contact Volunteer Manager in advance).

Special Event Volunteers

Annual Golf Outing- June 28th: Assist in the set-up, registration, day’s events, lunch program and tear down at Butterfield Country Club in shifts from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm and 11 am – 6:00 pm. Golf attire required.

Bake Sale at the Naperville Municipal Band Concert- July 22nd: Assist in assembling, set-up, vending, and clean up. Volunteers needed from 2 PM- 4 PM, 5 PM-7:30 PM, 7:00 PM- 10:00 PM

Pumpkin Race October 30th: Assist in the set up, registration, race events, tent operation and tear down at Rotary Hill Park in downtown Naperville in shifts from 7:30am – 11:30am, 11:00am – 5:00pm, 3:00pm – 6:00pm. Halloween Costumes encouraged!
