Service Saturday

Service Saturday Volunteers meet one Saturday a month

from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm to work on a various projects that help to provide more resources to our families and community. Each month the project changes, volunteer solo or with a group. Volunteers 14 and older must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to volunteer. Volunteers 13 and younger must volunteer with a parent or guardian and need to contact the Volunteer Manager in advance. If you need any accommodations (sitting tasks, minimal lifting, etc., please contact Volunteer Manager in advance)

Saturday Dates

October 30th: Service Saturday this month will be in conjunction with our Pumpkin Race Event! There are time blocks throughout the day- Sign up for the one that fits your schedule best!

November 13th: Service Saturday will be on-site. We will be doing indoor projects to help the teaching team and other indoor activites.

 

 

December date TBD

Group Volunteer opportunities

We love group volunteer days! We have hosted Corporate Groups, Cultural Groups, School Groups, and more! If you have a group that is interested in sharing their time and talents contact our  Volunteer Manager at sgroth@turningpointeaf.org to set up a project, date and time!

Special Event Volunteers

Special event volunteers participate in one day events onsite and offsite that help to bring awareness and resources to our students. Volunteers 14 and older must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to volunteer. Volunteers 13 and younger must volunteer with a parent or guardian and need to contact the Volunteer Manager in advance to ensure we have age appropriate tasks. Special Event Volunteers

Turning Pointe Homecoming- October 12th: Help us decorate the school for a week of homecoming activities! We will be creating and setting up decor around the school. Volunteers are needed from 3pm-6pm.

 

Pumpkin Race October 30th: Assist in the set up, registration, race events, tent operation and tear down at Rotary Hill Park in downtown Naperville for the Naperville Pumpkin Race. Halloween Costumes encouraged!

11:00am – 5:00pm- Race volunteers. Running Games, Race Track, Registration, and more. 

11:30am – 2:30pm- Pit row volunteers. YOU MUST BE OVER 18 and comfortable using an electric drill to help racers build their pumpkins. 

3:00pm – 6:00pm- Event park clean up
