Career Development Camp

These camps are three integrated educational opportunities for individuals impacted by autism spectrum disorders to practice independent living, social communication, and employability skills over the summer.

During independent living, students learn pre-employment hygiene, housekeeping, food preparation, time management, and money management. Students in social communication focus on asking and answering questions, socializing on a team, understanding emotions, social etiquette, and teamwork. In employability, students learn about skills and expectations working in the community, identifying job skills and interests, job interview preparedness, positive attitudes in the workplace, completing a job application, and more!
